The villa was built in 1906 by Grenoble architect Francis Girard for Antoine Gras. Major interior renovations were carried out in 1987. The pleasure garden dates from the same period as the villa.
The villa has a bow window on the ground floor, on the south side, covered by a terrace, and a recess on the north-east side housing the study.

The mouldings are in a Baroque style, with the use of pediments and rectangular entablatures, projecting cornices and modillions.

The four elevations are distinct, with the south elevation being the most prominent with its veranda. The dining room has a bow window and the upper floors are occupied by numerous bedrooms. The ridge, finial, weather vane and bull's-eye windows are made of zinc.

The interior features decorative painting, sculpture and stucco work. There is a beautiful set of marble fireplaces.

The grounds include an orchard, a vegetable garden, a central rotunda, French-style flowerbeds and rare species such as sequoia and Austrian black pine.
