The Villa Theo, house of neo-impressionnist painter Théo Van Rysselberghe, which truly forms part of cultural and historical heritage of Le Lavandou dates back to 1910.
Seduced by this sun-drenched Midi, Théo Van Rysselberghe left his native Belgium to join his painter friend Henri Edmond Cros. In 1910, he settled permanently in Le Lavandou. Van Rysselberghe's house became a meeting place for artists and a lively hub of activity in the pre-war years.
