The history of Solliès-Ville is very rich. Solliès-Ville was the principal fortified place of the region and played a major role in Provence’s history.
The hilltop village dominates the Gapeau’s valley. Solliès-Ville is unquestionably the spiritual capital of the region. Indeed, its fragmentation gave birth to others cities (Solliès-Pont, Solliès-Toucas and La Farlède).
Several hamlets and the vineyard of La Castille which are the properties of the Fréjus-Toulon’s bishopric compose the village. It is a traditional village but it remains focused on the future.
