This washhouse, located in the extension of the fountain, was moved following the widening of the road.
In order to allow motorized vehicles to pass through, the houses and the washhouse were aligned. Some elements have been reused, such as the stone pillars that support the roof. The basin, which includes a washing tank and a rinsing tank, consists of assembled cut stone slabs covering the old reinforced cement basin. The coping stones are inclined towards the inside of the tank to allow the washing water to drain off. Metal spin bars can be seen leaning on the square retaining wall and on the separation wall between the two tanks. The roof is made of a concrete structure supporting a slab forming a terrace; this one is crowned by an overflow of channel tiles that brings a decorative touch. During restoration work, the interior walls were decorated with a "trompe l’œil" fresco featuring laundressess
It can be assumed that the original washhouse dates back to the same period as the fountain when the source of the mines led the water to the village's central square, in the second half of the 19th century. The current washhouse is believed to date back to the 1950s.
