La Grimobile: soapbox race

New for 2026: the ‘Grimobile’ will take place over two (crazy) days: a night-time event on Saturday evening and the whole of Sunday for a double dose of fun. On a 300-metre circuit, starting from the square in front of the Town Hall, crossing the Place de l’Église and the Place Vieille, and finishing at the Place Neuve, the craziest soapbox cars will hurtle down the village’s narrow streets to the amazement of onlookers. SATURDAY 18 APRIL 2026, evening event! 20 vehicles, with the top 10 selected for the final the following day SUNDAY 19 APRIL 2026 – 30 vehicles, with the top 15 qualifying for the afternoon final Grand final featuring 25 vehicles, comprising the 10 fastest from Saturday evening and the 15 fastest from Sunday! The atmosphere will be guaranteed throughout the weekend with DJ Jessica on the decks, bringing her energetic set and her ability to get the crowd going: an expert in the art of mixing, she brilliantly juggles different musical styles to get the audience moving and ensure a lively atmosphere. On Saturday evening, to keep the party going, Les Acou’sur will also be there, setting the stage alight with three live concerts. Acou’sur is a dose of infectious good energy! A varied repertoire that you’re sure to know, reimagined in an energetic and fun country style, with a mastery of live performance and a festive atmosphere. The Hot-Wax band are taking to the stage with a powerful, energetic and incredibly infectious rock sound. Catchy riffs, raw energy and an explosive stage presence: every gig turns into a real party. An intense, authentic and unmissable show for all lovers of hard-hitting rock. Whilst the soapbox cars race down the track, younger visitors can also have fun on their own circuit, at the wheel of pedal cars.
