The Musée Louis Vouland honors the painter Léon Colombier.
"Colombier (and this is his trademark) is the king of backlighting; the king of fluid, Verlainian skies, but of a Verlaine who would be from the Midi. "(Auguste Chabaud)

Yet Léon Colombier is the Parisian of the "new Avignon school". Settled in Roquemaure (Gard), then in Avignon, where he enrolled at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts presented by Paul Saïn in 1894, his taste for landscapes led him to settle in Cavaillon in 1916, from where he turned his attention to the Luberon.
