Multidisciplinary artist Pipilotti Rist is best known for her video works, often presented as part of monumental installations. Deeply influenced by popular culture - music videos, advertising and graphic design - she uses a variety of techniques in her videos, including looping, cross-hatching, shaking and saturation. In so doing, she reveals the dexterity with which she handles her medium, as well as the powerful, liberating poetic prism through which she thinks about her work.
