Set in a green setting, this 12th-century chapel is a treasure trove of treasures, including a Roman cippus, a fragment of a Paleochristian chancel, exvotos, a statue of Our Lady and, above all, a 16th-century Baroque altarpiece.
The 12th-century Chapelle ND de l'Ormeau (Chapel of Our Lady of the Ormeau) awaits you in its verdant setting, along with its magnificent 16th-century Marian altarpiece (Florentine Renaissance style). This altarpiece is unique in Provence for being both painted and sculpted, with a religious history and another political facet. But there's more to the chapel than just the altarpiece: you'll discover a whole chapter of Seillans' history within its walls.
