Bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, the Verdon beach awaits you on the Côte Bleue, south of the city of Martigues, in the seaside district of La Couronne. Protected from the wind, it is equipped with all the facilities to offer you an unforgettable moment in the best conditions of comfort and safety.
Swimming is supervised during the summer season, and sanitary facilities and showers are available on site. The pedal boat rental allows you to discover the sumptuous scenery of the creeks and coves of the Côte Bleue.
You can also find restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity, to extend your morning or afternoon in the sun with a lunch or a dinner with your feet in the water.
The Verdon beach is also equipped to welcome people with disabilities:
- The tiralo is a specific wheelchair, intended to facilitate the bathing of people with reduced mobility, and is used with the help of a companion.
- The Hippocampe is a multi-activity chair, all terrain and floating. Its user can move on the sand, reach the sea, enter the water, and then leave the chair while swimming.
The services for people with disabilities are available from Monday to Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm (except holidays). You must register at least 24 hours in advance with Pôle Santé Handicap, by calling them at 04 86 64 19 91.
A parking lot has been set up just a few meters from the Verdon beach. However, parking can be difficult in the afternoon in high season, especially on weekends.
Guide dogs are welcome.
