The Guisane offers courses for all levels over twenty kms. Navigation from class II to IV, very popular in summer for white water activities.
Feeding: Glacial, rainy and snowy.
Water quality: beautiful, clear and fairly cold.
Favourable period: April to July/August.Navigation regulated by prefectural decree, authorised from 9am to 6pm.
Presentation: typically alpine manoeuvring course, sustained, upstream of the Pont Carles 10m long slide at 40° to be spotted. From the Pont Carles there is a significant difference in level (3%).
Landing : at the Chantemerle RN 91 junction. GPS UTM 32T 0309348 - 4978695
Landing: Briançon RN 94 right bank opposite the sports park. GPS UTM 32T 0321678 - 4973490.
Special risks: trees and branches, thresholds, guardrail.
Isolation: reduced dirt road nearby.
Optimum period: April to July/August
Comments: 200m after the start threshold under the bridge of the Luc Alphand track, right hand passage recommended, wallet halfway along.
