A short 1-hour circuit starting from Castellane, allowing you to admire the Castillon and Chaudanne lakes and their dams.
From Castellane, take the D955 towards Saint-André-les-Alpes.
Drive along Lac de Castillon, passing its impressive dam, which features the world's largest sundial.
About 1km after the dam, turn right towards Demandolx. Gain height as the road winds its way up one hairpin bend after another.
Just before the village of Demandolx, turn right again, following signs for "La Silve - Castellane".
The descent is via a narrow road (not recommended for camper vans) onto Lac de Chaudanne.
Drive along Lac de Chaudanne to the intersection with Route Napoléon. Turn right to reach Castellane via the D4085.
