Climbing site of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, La Valample - La Garrigue
La Garrigue in La Valample, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, has four climbing routes.
1. Chêne vert (Holm oak) - COT: 3c
2. Le cade (Juniper) - COT: 3a
3. Le pin (Pine) - COT: 3a
4. Le buis (Boxwood) - COT: 3a
The routes on offer have grades ranging from 3a to 3c.
The car park is located on Chemin de Baldouin.
The ‘Escalade dans les Alpilles’ guidebook is available at the Alpilles en Provence Tourist Office reception (subject to availability).
In summer, forest areas are more exposed to the risk of fire. To protect walkers and sites, access to the Bouches-du-Rhône mountains, including the Alpilles, is regulated from 1 June to 30 September.
The danger levels are determined daily for each forest area. They can be consulted from 6 p.m. for the following day at: www.risque-prevention-incendie.fr/13
