Climbing site of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, La Valample - Le château du nain
The dwarf's castle in La Valample in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence has three climbing routes.
1. Valampissimo - COT: 6b
2. Live, thrill, climb - COT: 7a
3. The dwarf's nightmare - COT: 7b+
The routes on offer have ratings ranging from 6b to 7b+.
The car park is located on Chemin de Baldouin.
The ‘Escalade dans les Alpilles’ guidebook is available at the Alpilles en Provence Tourist Office (subject to availability).
In summer, forest areas are more prone to fire. To protect walkers and sites, access to the Bouches-du-Rhône mountains, including the Alpilles, is regulated from 1 June to 30 September.
The danger levels are determined daily for each forest area. They can be consulted from 6 p.m. for the following day at: www.risque-prevention-incendie.fr/13
