Serre Chevalier is best known for alpine skiing, but Nordic skiers have a great playground! The Nordic domain stretches over 35 km along the Guisane valley, it criss-crosses villages and hamlets through the larches.

Departure from Villeneuve, Le Monêtier or Les Guibertes (ski bus stop: le Freyssinet - Nordic site). Serre Chevalier will satisfy all your Nordic desires: * 8 loops traced for alternative skiing and skating, * a biathlon stadium (from the initiation course to international competitions, 24 targets), * a "Classic Retro" route: a small nod to the 70's, this 7km itinerary from Les Guibertes allows you to walk safely through the forest * and even ski at night, thanks to the new Colombiers area, set up in Saint Chaffrey!
