The sandy beach located at the edge of the pond of Berre and in the city centre of Martigues, is certified "bathing waters", recognition of the actions taken by the municipality for the management of a bathing site. The beach has showers and toilets.
Bathed by the Etang de Berre, the Ferrières beach welcomes you in the city center of Martigues. Its waters are certified "Eaux de Baignade", a sign of recognition for the exemplary management of a bathing site by the municipality.
The Ferrières beach is located in the heart of Martigues, nicknamed the Venice of Provence. It is equipped with showers and toilets, for the comfort of bathers. The sand is cleaned daily from May to September, to offer you a clean and pleasant site.
In season, musical animations are regularly organized around the straw huts, and contribute to the friendly and festive atmosphere of the place.
A first aid post ensures the supervision of the bathing every weekend in June, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, then every day at the same times in July and August.
The beach is equipped with showers and automatic toilets. From May to September, it is cleaned daily.
The C'Pêché and Tchikita Cabana beach huts will welcome you starting May 3, 2025.
The green spaces have been redesigned, the asphalt has been resurfaced, and children's playgrounds are available.
The site contributes to the revitalization of the town center and the process of registering the Étang de Berre as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The showers are not accessible during drought-related restrictions.
