Contemporary art gallery.
Galerie de la Porte Etroite was created in 2015 by Gilles Boudot, artist photographer, who is responsible for its artistic direction and management.
It is an associative structure whose aim is to promote artistic activities in the field of plastic arts (painting, sculpture, photography, engraving etc...) through practice as well as teaching and the organization of exhibitions or conferences.
Its name recalls a material characteristic of the place, and may also suggest that a precise and personal artistic line is held there.
Exhibitions are always organized around pairs of artists working on issues or themes that bring them closer together. Wherever possible, care is taken to bring together artists of different generations and/or reputations.
The gallery welcomes interns from the École des Beaux Arts de Toulon on a voluntary basis, and strives to promote young talent alongside established artists.
The gallery has a hanging space of around 20 meters.
On average, the gallery organizes four exhibitions a year.
The rest of the time, the space is used as an artist's studio.
