Created in 1964 from plans by F. Hawtree, in the foothills of the Massif des Maures at an altitude of 5,270 m, the Golf de Valcros spreads out its 18 holes over 50 hectares, following the course of a pretty stream, the Maravenne. Fairways, bunkers and greens are skilfully laid out, surrounded by olive trees and oleanders, in the heart of a forest of cork oaks.
The Golf de Valcros offers golfers wishing to take a stroll a magnificent view of wild, luxuriant nature.
It also provides an opportunity to test their power and accuracy skills. The course is short but quite difficult, with blind tees, narrow fairways and numerous out-of-bounds shots.
The Valcros course is not very long, a little hilly, technical and players enjoy it.
