





Rocher de l'Ombre is a major climbing spot: a wide limestone bar offering varied, technical climbing on vertical and sloping walls.
Situated on the edge of the main road after Briançon, this is a remarkable and well-equipped climbing site: it comprises 4 sectors (including a school sector) with grades ranging from 5c to 8a, and some attractive switchbacks. Facing north-east, the site quickly moves into the shade.
WARNING: the center of this cliff (between sectors 2 and 3) is absolutely forbidden to climb due to rockfalls.
