Quiet beach, located in a nature reserve opposite the Ruisses municipal campsite.
The Sainte-Croix lake is the last of the 5 artificial reservoirs built on the Verdon. Created in 1974, it will take more than a year to fill up.
This reservoir of water contributes to the supply of electricity and water to a good part of Provence.
You will find several shaded and landscaped beaches as well as wild lake banks around Les Salles-sur-Verdon which will make you enjoy the emerald waters of the lake.
Some beaches offer boat rentals to enable you to discover this magical, protected site (internal combustion engines are prohibited) and/or to venture into the spectacular Grand Canyon.
Dogs are allowed on the beach and must be leashed.
A first-aid post is opened in July and August and provides the Margaridon beach (under the village) with supervised bathing (Please note! Dogs are not allowed in this area.).
