The cultural centre, managed by Nathalie Chanas Nicot, is a testament to the cultural momentum generated by the media library.
Although the range of services now includes summer activities, inter-service partnerships, the inter-municipal dimension, etc., the media library is a local service that aims to:
- Make culture accessible to all: diversity of collections, events, exhibitions, workshops and services, etc. The multimedia library is a resource centre for information, leisure activities, culture and training for local residents.
- To be a real place for artistic and cultural activities: events, writing workshops, lectures, debates, screenings, exhibitions, training courses (music, plastic arts, etc.), live performances, etc., for all ages.
The team, made up of 4 professionals and 7 volunteers, is there to welcome you and help you with your choices. Books, magazines, CDs, DVDs, board games, digital resources... There's something for everyone in the catalogue!
You'll also find:
● A Multimedia area:
▹ 3 consultation workstations with internet access and free wifi access.
▹ Tablets and e-readers.
▹ Regular digital workshops (see quarterly programme)
▹ Specific support for digital tools and internet use with a charter of use to be respected.
● A children's area: in the "Story Cocoon": story time; games for the little ones, Kamishibaï...
● A Ludothèque: Wide choice of board games for young and old. Catalogue of games available for consultation online.
● Cultural programming: throughout the year: shows, author/illustrator meetings, exhibitions, readings aloud, storytelling, concerts, creative workshops... in a room dedicated to this programming within the structure. Don't hesitate to sign up for our newsletter!
