The Cargo de Nuit, a major venue in Arles for contemporary music, has been offering concerts for 25 years.

Open to a wide range of musical styles, rock, folk, pop, chanson, hip-hop, jazz, soul, funk and electro groups perform from October to June in an intimate 350-seat configuration, much to the delight of audiences and artists alike. As well as presenting concerts, the Cargo is also a venue for association projects, rehearsals by local groups, exhibitions and more. In 2003, the Cargo de Nuit celebrated its 10th anniversary and invited the public and a handful of artists to celebrate together at the Théâtre Antique d'Arles: this was the starting point for the Festival les Escales du Cargo, which has been held every July since then!
