Plage de Saint-Gervais
Fos-sur-Mer is home to 6 km of well-kept beaches. The town suffered from the effects of pollution from its nearby petrochemical plants for many years, but huge efforts have been made by the local authorities and inhabitants to protect the environment and improve its quality. These efforts have now been rewarded for some years by the European "Blue Flag" label, granted for the quality of its waters. "Plage Saint Gervais", situated adjacent to the marina, is a delightful cove sheltered from the Mistral wind. This little, pebble beach is easy to reach and also offers toilet and shower facilities and a nearby bar-restaurant.
