Saint-Rémy-de-Provence climbing site - Mont Gaussier - The terrace

The terrace at Mont Gaussier in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence has four climbing routes.

1. Check lapin - COT: 6b+
2. Better call Saul - COT: 6b
3. Les pins d'Alep - COT: 6a+
4. 35-36 - COT: 5c

Be careful on the Better call Saul route. Use long quickdraws. It is advisable to belay yourself at the first point to ensure safety on route 4.

The routes on offer have grades ranging from 6a+ to 7c.

There are several roadside car parks on the D5 towards Maussane-les-Alpilles.

In summer, forest areas are more prone to fire. To protect walkers and sites, access to the Bouches-du-Rhône mountains, including the Alpilles, is regulated from 1 June to 30 September.
