Terminal of the Merveilles tourist train with a guide on board every weekend in May and October, and every day from June to September, with the TER of the Nice-Breil-Tende railway line.
NB: The inside of the building is no longer occupied by the SNCF; however, a ticket office is accessible directly on the platform. Tickets can also be purchased at the post office opposite the station.
Originally built as a standard Ferrovia dello Stato station, it was inaugurated on October 30, 1928 in the presence of the French Minister for the Economy, André Tardieu, and the Italian Minister for the National Economy, Giuseppe Giurati.
The destruction of the line in April 1945, caused by German troops retreating to northern Italy, led to the station's closure. On September 16, 1947, the station became part of France when the town of Tende became part of France. At the same time, connections between Tende and Italy were re-established, but only for freight traffic. It wasn't until the line was fully reopened on September 30, 1979, that the station officially reopened, with an inauguration on October 6, 1979.
No ticket office, but a TER ticket dispenser.
Groups arriving on the Merveilles train are welcomed by the Tende tourist office during the summer season.
