Beautiful hairpin bends, small mountain villages and generous landscapes follow one another until you reach the Col de la Lombarde for a return to the French side.
At Isola, turn right to begin the ascent of the highest road in Europe, the Bonette! Old barracks and lunar landscapes await you at the summit (2,802 metres).
Descend to Barcelonnette through lush green mountain pastures.
