The route crosses the forest on the track, with a lovely view of Barcelonnette at the Pépinière and the large sequoia tree. Further on, it forks to the left in the direction of Sauze 1700 and crosses over on a very pleasant path.
Variation: possibility of descending via the Enduro trail to Sauze 1400, then by road to Barcelonnette.
Start from the Pra Loup bridge, at the bike wash. Take the small road towards La Conchette for 1.5km, and at the bridge fork right onto a wide forest track.
After 2.8km, take the left-hand track at the crow's feet and continue as far as Sauze 1700.
Return route: At Sauze 1700 head for the arrival station of the Sauze chairlift, then take the track that bends right slightly downhill (do not follow the PR chapeau de gendarme on the left).
Stay on the downhill track and continue along the small road as far as the bike-washing point on the Pra Loup bridge.
