A pleasant hike on an easy and little frequented route!

From the village of Arvieux, the small road to the Col de Furfande rises after the fountain on the left. After the sawmill, turn left, then left again! Once you've parked your car near the bridge you're crossing, follow the path to the forest track, then the path on the other side of the track. Continue on this path, which climbs straight up, but soon the Fontouse hut appears in the green valley. It blends into the landscape, seemingly buried beneath a dome of stone. A perfectly bucolic spot...

A perfectly bucolic spot for a picnic break. The descent begins on the other side of the Fontouse torrent through the Baracou forest. Continue along this path to the forest track you came across on the way up, and return to the parking lot.
