  • The ascent to the Chalets des Acles is an easy hike, relatively uncrowded in winter, via a military trail that rises in the Bois de Pécé on the side of the imposing rocky Guion mountain, with the Ravine des Acles below.

  • Drive through the hamlet of Plampinet and park in the parking lot on the right just after the bridge.
The start of the hike is at the top of the hamlet. To do this, retrace your steps, passing the Auberge de la Clarée on the left - you'll pass the Plampinet hamlet's communal oven and the Notre Dame des Grâces chapel - continue for around 20 m, then turn right onto the road that rises between the old houses to the top of the hamlet, above the Saint Sébastien church.

A forest track then gently twists and turns through the forest, caught between the Pointe de Pécé on your right, the summit of the Guion on your left, and the Acles ravine below. Once you've passed the small blockhouse overlooking the ravine, the slope becomes gentler and you're almost at the Chalets des Acles.
In winter, you always return by the same route.

The hamlet of Plampinet is well worth a visit! Take the time to stroll around and discover its magnificent houses, chapel, church and sundials.

The ravines and valleys on this route are potential avalanche paths in winter. Do not set off on this route until you have checked the snow conditions.

It is essential to be aware of changes in weather and snow conditions.
G.R. trails and other routes used in summer are not always the same as winter trails.

Mountain guides are there to accompany you on this winter terrain, which they know well.
