The Nietzsche Trail links the seaside to the medieval village of Eze by following the pathway by Friedrich Nietzsche. After a first cemented section, then a series of steps you will arrive at a paved section towards the village of Eze.

To begin the ascent to the medieval village of Eze is to walk in the footsteps of the famous German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, who stayed on the Côte d'Azur several times from 1883. Like many writers, he needed to walk to create. He composed the third part of "D'ainsi parlait Zarathoutra" on this steep path.
Hiking shoes recommended.
The trail is not recommended for small children.

From Eze Bord de Mer station, follow the low cornice eastwards for 200m to find the start of the "Nietzsche" path.
From Eze village, take the avenue du jardin exotique, then turn left between the Fragonard shop and the entrance to the Château de la Chèvre d'Or.
