The climb takes you through a forest rich in colour and sound. Kinglets, various chickadees, woodpeckers... all singing their melodies and brightening up the atmosphere. Once you reach the pass, it's the view that fascinates. It stretches 180° from the Dent du Ratier to the Italian border. To the north, the Grand Rochebrune guards the area. The peak and its foothills dominate the Péas valley, commanding respect in a valley that herds of cattle have roamed since the dawn of time.
