Stay at Arvieux without visiting the Clapeyto alpine chalets? Impossible! You can even guarantee you'll be back! Go as far as the Izoard campsite, cross it and continue until the end of the asphalt road. Park your car on the small parking lot "le près des vaches". Take the track on the right that goes up to the magnificent chalets of Alpage de Clapeyto. Go as far as the Izoard campsite, cross it and continue until the end of the asphalt road. Park your car on the small parking lot "le près des vaches". Take the track on the right that goes up to the magnificent chalets of Alpage de Clapeyto. When you arrive at the first chalets, which are in a valley, take the path on the right that goes up into the meadow. You can’t go wrong; go straight ahead until the pass where you will have a breathtaking view on the Grand Pic de Rochebrune and the highest summit of the Queyras: the Font Sancte (3342 m)! Come back down by the same route. This pass is located on the famous GR5, it links the Arvieux and the Briançonnais valleys. Before the era of the car, the inhabitants of Brunissard used to go to Briançon to do their shopping!
