The large Riou-Bourdoux watershed has given humans a lot of trouble in taming its devastating torrent. Among replanted forests and mountain pastures, reach the high ridges on the edge of the Embrunais.
From the hamlet of Les Dalis at the foot of the summit of ‘La Grande Epervière’ (2,879 m), the trail climbs through the forest alongside a torrent (Riou de la Pare).
It then climbs in a series of hairpin bends to skirt the massif to a shepherd's hut. The climb then continues above the wooded area to reach the Col des Orres (2,613 m) and return via a loop to the hamlet.
