This stage is the first of the Tour de l'Ubaye not to cross any passes or peaks. It ‘settles’ for staying in the valley to discover the picturesque hamlets of the Haute Ubaye.
From Fouillouse, the route descends to the bottom of the valley along the Ubaye river, passing through St Paul sur Ubaye and Tournoux, and part of the Tournoux fortifications, before arriving at the charming resort of Sainte-Anne la Condamine.
