  • Hike to a lake and then a 360° viewpoint over the valley, the Meije and the Agneaux.

  • From the parking lot at the bottom of Villar d'Arène (1670 m), walk up alongside the church, take the opposite street and cross the village to the main road.

    Cross the main road and 100 m further up, turn left onto the path leading up to the Saint-Antoine chapel.

    At the entrance to the hamlet of Les Cours, don't take the tarmac road to the left, but continue straight ahead through the entire hamlet.

    At the end of the hamlet, take the "Cour Rambaude" path, which climbs to the left.

    Cross the carriage track coming from the lake parking lot and take the path opposite to reach Lac du Pontet (1985 m). Go around the lake to the left.

    Climb to the left on a narrow path that runs along the mountainside to the Col de l'Aiguillon.

    Follow the Aiguillon ridge to the left to reach the summit (2095 m).

    Descend along the "Côtes de la Ville" path, which follows the ridge slightly to the right and joins the main road via a number of switchbacks.

    Follow the main road for a few meters, then turn left onto a path that leads to Villar d'Arène.
