An out-and-back route along a gently rolling forest trail, with no major technical difficulties. Several viewpoints overlook the Embrun valley below. A perfect course for hot days! A snack break is possible at the finish (La Draye).
The route can also be started from La Draye, in the commune of Crots.
After a long right hairpin, turn left toward the ranch and continue along this small road lined with residences.
At the end of the road, continue on the trail descending toward the ranch and the stream. Cross the stream using the highest path, then continue on the same trail.
At Cime de Plate, take the Grand Rocade path to the left and continue toward La Draye (guesthouse).
Stay on the Grande Rocade trail descending to the right. Do not take the Siguret forest road to the left. Then continue straight ahead, staying on the widest and flattest path.
At Mélézet, take the trail to the right toward La Draye.
Return along the same path used on the way out.
