1 - Start
Go to the right of the picnic area and follow the yellow signs. Ignore the left and right paths and proceed forward to admire the impressive Chabre Mountain.
2 - Crossroad - trail
Turn left at a narrow trail and proceed forward.
3 - Crossroad - path
As soon as you reach a larger path, turn right to have a panoramic viewpoint of Chabre.
4 - Viewpoint on the side of the plateau - crossroad
Go forward slowly, you can admirethe view of the Lagrand plateau on the right and its hilltop village, overlooked by its XIIth century roman church. In the background, the Chabre Mountain. On the right, around the village of Orpierre you can see the Rocher St Michel in the distance, and the Mont Garde closer.
Proceed and walk along the side of the plateau.
Go back down slowly on the left to see the dam and Mountain of St Genis on one side, and torrent of the Buëch on the other side.
Turn right and follow a narrower trail.
5 - Source
At the " source " sign, turn right to find it and refresh yourselves.
Go up the trail until a wooded area, then proceed forward (ignore the mountain bike trail on the right) until you reach a forest trail.
6 - Crossroad
Proceed forward for 50 m then walk along the forest trail on the left.
7 - Meadow / fork
After reaching the large meadow, turn left at the fork in the road and go forward through a pine trees path. Take the time to admire the Beaumont Mountain and its rock.
8 - Crossroad / return trip
Before the last crossroad tgo right and continue on this path to reach the parking lot.
