Start from the lake car park.

Take the road towards Gap for 600m, then turn left towards Le Villard. In the village, the road continues along a path that leads down into the Estèves woods, to join the Transubayenne VTT. At the path junction, continue left, still on a pretty, fairly technical path. This joins a track that quickly leads back to Lac du Lauzet.
