From the Cabane de l'Alp parking lot, head in the same direction as Tête de Vautisse, up a bucolic valley with herds on the horizon. At the crossroads, turn left: your path today is not the one of the heavens, but the one that fills the eyes. The friendly ascent leads to a ridge, and then, surprise... a descent in the ascent! This curiosity is not in vain: the Lac du Laus is there. On its shores, a picnic stop is called for to the rhythm of marmot whistles, while chamois watch on their ridges and birds of prey ignore you in the clouds. The hardest part is remembering to take photos, so overwhelmed are you by the beauty! Return by the same route, if you feel like leaving paradise.
