Climb the Grand Peygu, which towers like a pyramid at the gateway to the Col de l'Izoard.
Detailed itinerary :
1. From the parking lot, take the path to the Chalets d'Izoard.
2. Follow the path up to the Chalets d'Izoard ruins.
3. Go past the ruins and continue into the alpine pasture along a narrow path on the left to reach the base of Grand Peygu.
4. Get closer to the base of the peak, by taking the left-hand side of the small ravine, located to the left of a scree, and join the ridge line.
5. Begin the ascent, following the various cairns along the way.
6. After a gap topped by a cairn, continue along the ridge, taking care to avoid the rocky bars on your left.
7. Cross the slightly steep passage (put your hands on the ground if necessary) and climb to the summit within sight.
