As you pedal through the hills of this massif so well described by Marcel Pagnol, you may hear one of his favorite actors say "il est fada" ("he's crazy").
This is not a "crazy" route, it's all about moderation: you never climb steep slopes, and it's the same for the descent, apart from a few very short passages after the Col des Hirondelles. A route that many less trained cyclists can tackle.
