Le Pain de Sucre

Sport, Pedestrian sports, Hiking itinerary in Molines-en-Queyras
5.8 km
3h 30min
Very difficult
  • The Pain de Sucre is an iconic summit of the cross-border Queyras.

  • Even if the short distance and the small difference in altitude to reach it can make it feel like an easy summit, please be aware that there is an aerial passage, another on slabs which can be slippery and finally a small climb! Stones can fall without warning and to crown it all the Italians who cook pasta in the morning, causing a thick fog that can arise very quickly!
I heartily recommend doing it with a guide, who will know how to choose the best time and the best way to take you...
