Starting point: on leaving the village of Larche, heading towards the pass, turn right onto the Lauzanier road.
Follow this for 5km to its terminus, the Pont Rouge (note that you are on the edge of the Mercantour National Park, and access to the Lauzanier valley by mountain bike is prohibited).
Turn left to cross the bridge and follow the narrow track that joins the Col de Larche road.
Descend for 500m, cross the safety barrier on the left and take the track that takes you back to the village of Larche.
