Start and parking: along the road, 100 metres after turning the corner of the wine cellar

    1. Take the ascending road due north, towards Puy Cervier. Pass the cemetery and reach the water tank.
    2. Turn left, keeping the direction of Puy Cervier and join the E142 track. At the next two crow's feet, continue right on the ascending track. The path is a nice track, allowing you to cross a forest of Austrian black pines from reforestation. Pass a forest hut and go through a gate just before reaching the next intersection
    3. Take the ascending path on the right. With its many switchbacks, it climbs through the undergrowth until it reaches a road. Numerous species of forest birds such as wood pigeons, great tits and tree finches will show themselves to the quiet ones! The view of the Jarjayes castle on the crest, the Ceüse cliff on the left and the Bure plateau on the right is breathtaking. Take the road to the right, heading north-east for about 300 metres
    4. Then turn right towards the Puy Cervier wood on a wide ascending track. Go on into the Valserres communal forest. This track crosses many others. Go straight on until you reach a crossroads
    5. From this point, turn right and start the descent on the track that leads to the Tourrond pass. The pine forest gradually gives way to a deciduous forest of oak and beech trees (fayards).
    6. Shortly before the pass, a track (E141) descends on the right towards Valserres. Follow it for about 500 metres. Then the track splits in two. Leave the green barrier on the left and turn onto the right-hand track which rises for 50 metres. The ground becomes increasingly dry, broom and many butterflies are present. The track continues to the edge of the wood. Before you reach Comberland, the path sparkles with bare quartz sheets between the gypsum, hence the name of the place: "la Plâtrière". Then take the farm track opposite to reach the place called Comberland. The path leads into a pasture field with a clear view of black kites hunting in the meadows
    7. From here, head towards Chapelle des Roses along the road for about 200 metres before forking off onto the tarmac road on the right. Go through a few groups of houses to the place called Notre-Dame and the charming Chapelle des Roses
    8. Take the time to walk to the chapel and back. Do not go down to the main road but continue straight ahead on the farm track, through the vineyards for about 500 metres
    9. At the crossroads, turn right. About 40 metres further on, take the track on the left, which quickly becomes a path. Enjoy the view of the vineyards and the village of Valserres. On this pretty rocky path, if you pay close attention, it is possible to admire the Orphys araignée, a small orchid that imitates the eponymous insect to reproduce. Reach the water catchment. Turn left on the road to return to the starting point.

About the Chapel of the Roses:
The chapel can be seen above the Fruit and Wine Route, which winds from Tallard to Rousset. A short path leads through an old gateway, delimiting an enclosure where one discovers with emotion an abandoned cemetery. Here, there are still roses, made to last for years... beautiful fabric roses.

    >> Recommendations
    - Crossing pastures and undergrowth: respect carefully the yellow markings! In addition, because of the many herds in pastures, make sure to close the gates and keep dogs on a leash.
    - Hunting territory: this route crosses a hunting territory (Association Communale de Chasse Agréée de Valserres). Be careful and responsible during the hunting season.
