THE SITE The Maures massif A wonderful walk passing through several old stone hamlets with bucolic charm, a small, bewitching and forgotten world, along a route of about 15 km. YOUR WALK This 5-hour walk will take you through the hamlets of Camp de la Suyère, Val d'Aubert and Les Sinières in the heart of the Maures massif. You will discover splendid views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and the Maures. PARKING Free parking at Les Teilles, chemin des Teilles, opposite the Tourist Office. Coming from Le Luc: 300 m after the entrance to the village turn right onto chemin des Teilles, opposite the Information Point. Coming from Grimaud: cross the village on the RD 558, in the big bend on the right towards the exit, take the path opposite in the bend. THE ROUTE From the Tourist Office, head towards the exit of the village in the direction of Grimaud, opposite the petrol station, take the Chemin de la Court. Follow it for 3 km until you reach the Val Verdun area (green tanks on the right). 150 m later, go straight on the dirt track marked D3 (Camp de Suyère) in the hairpin bend. At the bottom of the valley, take the path on the left (do not take the track that goes up opposite!) towards the Camp de la Suyère, a small hamlet nestled in the chestnut trees. At the bottom of the path, turn immediately left, between the houses and the stone walls. This path goes to Val d'Aubert (1.4 km). Cross the hamlet and continue on the path (asphalted from there) for about 5 km, passing through Les Vieilles Sinières, Les Sinières, to the RD 558 road (La Garde-Freinet / Grimaud). At the Camp Vif crossroads, hike 6 joins hike 3. Cross the RD 558 and go down the small path between the two guard rails. It joins the small road that returns to the village (Chemin du Refren). Return to the village, passing the Chapelle St.-Eloi. INTERESTS Discovering different old hamlets: Camp de la Suyère, Val d'Aubert, les Sinières. RECOMMENDATIONS Only use the path during authorised periods. Find out how open the forest is (especially in summer).
