A superb ridge crossing featuring views of Mt Ventoux, discovery of the Toulourenc Valley with its Alpine allure and its hilltop villages, and alternating technical descents and physically-demanding ascents, this stage "north" of Ventoux, has beautiful surprises in store for you.
A nice reward awaits you from the very start of this route, with a superb ridge crossing and breath-taking views of Mont Ventoux. After the picturesque village of Brantes, and a pretty pass (alt. 635 m), a technical and stony descent leads you once again to Saint-Léger-du-Ventoux. After 600 meters of positive elevation, and a steep ascent up the slopes of Ventoux, you are rewarded with a nice descent to the piedmont of the “Giant of Provence”. Shortly before Malaucène, a refreshing stop at the source of the Groseau is much needed!
