Path of the written stone

Sport, Pedestrian sports, Hiking itinerary in Saint-Geniez
3.2 km
  • Pleasant family stroll starting from the Pierre Écrite (Written Stone), which was engraved in the 6th century in memory of the passage of Dardanus, prefect of Gaul and ardent Christian, who came to the valley to found a “City of God”.

  • From the Pierre écrite, follow the path that climbs to the left for about 20 minutes.

At the end of the path, to the level of the old oak, take the forest track on the right. Continue on the track until you’ll reach the Rocher de la baleine (whale rock), and find the intersection with the departmental road.
