This is undoubtedly the best way to reach the abbey (the path is lined with dry stone walls) and to enjoy the coolness of the pine trees along the way.

From the Pont du Marquisat car park continue along the road to the "Charmaillon" picnic area on your right. Turn right onto a stony uphill path.
At the crossroads, at the farm, turn onto the path furthest to the left, marked GR/PR
At an intersection, continue straight ahead to find the road for a few metres before turning right (a sign points towards the Abbey). Ignore the right-hand exits and continue straight on to your destination.
