  • This 200-kilometre loop starts in Barcelonnette and includes the ascent of the Col de Vars and the terrible Mélezen ramp, the descent to Guillestre, the ascent of the Guil valley and the legendary Col de l'Izoard (Arvieux, Brunissard, Casse déserte) to reach Briançon.

There's a sumptuous descent along the Durance to Serre-Ponçon lake, before climbing back up to the Ubaye valley.
