1. Go up towards the basilica. Take advantage of the passage near the building to push open the door and admire the architecture. The organ currently in use dates from 1879. Once you have exited, go around the basilica to the north to join the tarmac road
2. Take the road to the right to reach the nearby intersection. From there, take the road on the left, towards the oratory of the Angel. Cross a bridge and then, 50 m after the bridge, turn left onto a rocky path rising towards the Hermitage. A few steep switchbacks offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding marl pits and the wider landscape. To the north, the Ecrins massif, to the east, the summit of Mont-Colombis, to the south, the Monges massif. The path rises between the broom trees on the mountainside to the oratory and the statue of the Angel
3 From here, there is a view of the sanctuary of Notre-Dame-du-Laus, a good place for a first contemplative break. Continue in the direction of the pass until you reach a track at the place called La Morfondière
4. Turn left on the track towards Puy Maurel. The path follows the ridge offering a clear view to the north and west, towards the Dévoluy and Ecrins massifs. At the crossroads (alt. 1176), continue the ascent on the D.F.C.I. E132 track. Pass in front of a buried water reserve to reach an orientation table offering a second breathtaking viewpoint. Continue along the same path until you reach another intersection
5. Leave the tracks and turn left towards Charamère on a pretty grassy path on the edge of the pastures. The path enters the wood 500 m further on, and takes advantage of this to start the descent more sharply. The path becomes steep and the evolution is done on the marl, especially at the "Pas du lièvr". Then the path branches off to the west, discovering the beautiful Céüse mountain, before plunging back into a deciduous forest to cross a ravine. The path gradually widens to become a track.
>> A steep slope after point 6.
6. At Charamère, turn left and descend towards Notre-Dame-du-Laus. The path crosses and runs along the bottom of the ravine for a few moments before returning to the track. Cross the D211 twice before arriving quietly at the entrance to the hamlet
7. Return to the car park, passing the Basilica again.
