This walk along a balcony lined with larch trees follows the Route des Combes until it reaches the hamlet of the same name located at the gates of the Partias reserve.
Park in the large car park at the entrance to Puy-Chalvin, then walk to the top of the village.
At the last house, continue along the wide track that leads to the hamlet of Les Combes until you reach the intersection at the Saint Laurent chapel.
Continue climbing via the Route des Combes (2nd intersection) until you reach the hamlet.
Descend by following the Combes track to the Saint-Laurent chapel. Then take the chapel path down directly to the hamlet of Les Combes, avoiding the road you took on the way up.
If you want to make the most of the sunshine, start your hike in the morning.
Progressing on snow-covered terrain is much more demanding than in summer, and requires special equipment and knowledge of mountain hazards.
